Luxury residences presents a coveted collection of sculptures from acclaimed masters of abstract expressionism in celebration of Miami Art Week

Miami Beach, FL - November 24th, 2021:  Continuum, South Florida’s premier resort-style oceanfront condominium residences located in Miami Beach, has partnered with one of the world’s leading galleries to present a hand-picked collection of sculptures by today’s leading international artists to commemorate the art world’s most celebrated week of visual innovation.

The Continuum has formed an exclusive residential collaboration with the world-renowned Opera Gallery to present a temporary exhibit of eight sculptures by individual contemporary masters from across the globe, bestowing the latest in abstract expressionism in its truest form within the grounds of the property.  Four artists, represented by Opera Gallery in Miami, have chosen their finest work that has recently been installed within the garden grounds of the Continuum, as well as in the Grand Lobby of the North Tower, for residents to enjoy and admire as potential pieces available to purchase for their own private collection.

'We are honored to form such an exceptional association with one of today’s most revered international galleries,' said Rishi Idnani, Managing Director at the Continuum.  'We consider it a privilege to have such an exclusive collection on our property - showcasing the very best the fine art world has to offer, while bringing something very unique for residents and their guests to enjoy within the community during Miami Art Week.  Through the existing and past exhibits by our artists in residence, we pride ourselves on representing creative and artistic excellence, and this collaboration with Opera Gallery truly elevates our reputation in the art world with a most captivating experience.'

The collection of installations at the Continuum includes a creation in painted bronze by Pablo Atchugarry, entitled “Sans Titre, 2014”; an exquisite stainless steel multi-dimensional illuminated object made from specialized glass with LED lights by Anthony James, entitled “50” Icosahedron, 2019”; and a male figure in uniform, comprised of stainless steel discs and a color coated base by Valay Shende, entitled “Watchman.”  Mixed media artist and sculpture, Manolo Valdes from Spain, presents five pieces of work, including a giant butterfly made with bronze and gold patina, entitled “Triple Butterfly”; a colorful abstract piece made from wood, resin and iron, entitled “Cabeza Azul con Resina Roja, 2018”; an additional abstract metallic piece depicting a group of multiple butterflies, made with aluminum, entitled “Selene, 2020”; a carefully crafted figure of a angelic-like woman, carved out of resin, entitled “White Infanta Margarita,” and a large outdoor sculpture shaped with strands of spiraling aluminum, entitled “Ivy.”

Opera Gallery has locations in Paris, Singapore, New York, Miami, Miami Beach, Aspen, London, Monaco, Geneva, Dubai, Beirut, Hong Kong and Seoul, and present work across all media including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography and video.  The gallery seeks to cultivate the lineages that run between emerging and established artists. It represents over twenty international young and emerging artists such as Andy Denzler, Fred Eerdeckens or Lita Cabellut and mid-career more established artists such as Manolo Valdés, André Brasilier or Hermann Nitsch. The gallery also deals in private sales on the secondary market informed by decades of connoisseurship and is proud to have placed historically- significant works by artists such as Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Pierre Soulages, Alexander Calder, Jean Dubuffet, Fernando Botero and many more.

The exhibit presented by Opera Gallery will be at the Continuum in Miami Beach until December 15th, and each piece in the collection is priced individually.
