Im heißen Sommer 2009, in der Mitte Europas, im „Auge des Sturms" der Finanzkrise kommen neun KünstlerInnen aus Österreich, Bosnien, Bulgarien, Kroatien, Serbien und Slowenien unter der Schirmherrschaft des Siemens_artLab im hilger contemporary zusammen. Die perfekte Zeit und der perfekte Platz um über die eigene Position in der kleinen mittel- und osteuropäischen Gemeinschaft, zwischenmenschliche Krisen und die Entdeckung gegenseitiger Werte zu reflektieren. Folgende Künstler werden gezeigt: Ana Adamovic, Ervin Babic, Vesna Bukovec, Lies Maculan, Michail Michailov, Saso Sedlacek, Kosta Tonev, Matthias Winkler, Simon Veres.
Die Kuratorinnen sind Alenka Gregoric, künstlerische Leitung der Skuc Gallery in Ljubljana und Maria Vassileva, Chefkuratorin der Sofia City Art Gallery in Sofia.

During the hot summer of 2009, in the middle of Europe and in the "eye of the storm" of the financial crisis, nine artists from Austria, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia are gathering under the patronage of the Siemens_artLab. The perfect time and place to reconsider one's position in the small central-eastern European community, to check the level of crises in human relationships and to discover each others values. Following artists will be shown: Ana Adamovic, Ervin Babic, Vesna Bukovec, Lies Maculan, Michail Michailov, Saso Sedlacek, Kosta Tonev, Mathias Winkler, Simon Veres.
The curators are Alenka Gregoric, artistic director of the Skuc Gallery in Ljubljana, Slovenia and Maria Vassileva, chief curator of the Sofia City Art Gallery in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Die retrospektiv angelegte, umfangreiche Werkschau der österreichischen Künstler Christian Ludwig Attersee, Georg Eisler, Alfred Hrdlicka, Markus Prachensky, Arnulf Rainer und der Pop-Protagonisten ERRÓ, Allen Jones, Jacques Monory, Mel Ramos, Larry Rivers, Donald Sultan und Andy Warhol wird unter dem thematischen Gesichtspunkt „Lost and found/Wiedergefunden" subsumiert. Die Ausstellung soll einen Einblick in das facettenreiche Repertoire der Galerie Ernst Hilger geben. Das künstlerische Schaffen jener Künstler soll beleuchtet werden - der Blick zurück soll den Blick nach vorne öffnen und eine Basis für eine Neuentdeckung der gezeigten Werke bieten. Die Ausstellung zeigt einen Querschnitt der stilistischen und technischen Kunstproduktion und schafft eine Interaktion zwischen Kunstwerk, Betrachter und Raum.

The comprehensive show of works by the Austrian artists Christian Ludwig Attersee, Georg Eisler, Alfred Hrdlicka, Markus Prachensky, Arnulf Rainer and the pop protagonists ERRÓ, Allen Jones, Jacques Monory, Mel Ramos, Larry Rivers, Donald Sultan and Andy Warhol is of a retrospective character and is subsumed into the thematic viewpoint "Lost and found/Wiedergefunden". The exhibition aims to provide an overview of the multifaceted repertoire of the Galerie Ernst Hilger. A spotlight is cast on the oeuvre of each artist - this reflection will allow a contemplative view forwards and provide a base from which a new discovery of the works being shown is facilitated. No space is given to forgetting. The exhibition shows a cross-section of the stylistic and technical aspects of art production and stimulates interaction between the work of art, the observer and the surrounding space.
