ART PARIS ART FAIR 2012
Open to all forms of artistic expression, ART PARIS ART FAIR 2012 is launching a new section showcasing design. Curated by design expert Bénédicte Colpin, this “Limited Edition” section brings together a selection of five galleries: Pierre Alain Challier, Domeau & Pérès, Galerie Matignon, Slott Galerie and White Moon Gallery who will show exclusive pieces made by top contemporary designers.
According to Bénédicte Colpin: “presenting contemporary design in the context of a modern and contemporary art fair is a way of bringing to light the main players in this field. The idea is to make a cultural statement and open up a space in which messages, innovation and the creative process meet the object.” Adds Colpin: “The work on show is exclusively contemporary and the section is dedicated to cutting edge galleries who use their talent to uncover the creativity of the designers, reveal their personalities and enable them to turn their aspirations into objects. The pieces are either unique or belong to a series so limited and unusual that it is almost possible to describe them as bespoke.” Les Echos Série limitée magazine is supporting this initiative and is launching the «Prototype» Série limitée Prize to reward a piece of work that is emblematic of a unique, specific skill.
